For months I’ve been hunting for a pleated dress or skirt, so I was really excited to stumble upon this gem! This is a stunning kelly green and I love me some colour.
I initially started this refashion seven months ago, but shoved it in a cupboard when I couldn’t make it work. Thankfully the space helped me do a rethink.
My sister’s flatmate has just had a wardrobe purge. After the other flatmates sifted through the discards for themselves, my sister scooped up the leftovers and sent them my way. Yippee!

I love the current look of denim paired with dresses. Cute! What I don’t like is how boxy and shapeless denim jackets tend to be. Yawn. I actually feel a bit lost in them and they always seem so bulky and heavy.
I bought these jeans from a local secondhand clothing store because I love the high, snug waist. I hate the boring colour though. Time to work some magic.

This refashion was more like a total rebuild. After thinking I could just alter the hem, I still wasn’t happy and I eventually unpicked all the seams and made a whole new skirt from the pieces.
